One of the best things I’ve done for my businesses was moving over to Shopify. I don’t think I would ever experience the success I did if I didn’t. You can watch the video below and learn how you can start moving over to Shopify too if this is something you’ve been thinking about or looking into the near future.
Trust me, you’ll be SO glad you did.

What I Discovered
People Love Shopping on Shopify!
Shopify is one of the BEST, robust e-commerce platforms to run your online store for both physical and digital products. Yes, both are just as exceptional.
It’s something about the way Shopify was built, which allows better sale conversion than WooCommerce stores. It must be the way of how Shopify themes are designed; how they take their customers on a journey before reaching its checkout page – which makes the conversion of a sale fast, smooth and effective!
Greater Speed
When I first moved my stores over to Shopify, the first thing I discovered is that my stores ran faster on Shopify than on WooCommerce. It only took 2 seconds to load my stores on mobile with Shopify, while it took about a MINUTE to load my WooCommerce stores on mobile. Wow, what a difference!
Mobile Optimized
My stores on Shopify looks great on mobile and they seem to have a faster and smoother browsing experience compared to WooCommerce. Part of the reason is because Shopify has an amazing responsive themes which are excellent on mobile devices.
Not all WordPress themes are mobile-optimized or responsive. Sometimes you need to manually tweak it to be so (requires some technical skills). However this can sometimes cause your store to look inconsistent on mobile devices compared to your desktop computer. So it is best to choose a mobile-optimized theme on the get go; but this requires you to do a bit of research on your end.
Less Maintenance
Now this is one of the main reasons for moving over to Shopify from WooCommerce. Because Shopify is a hosted platform, Shopify takes care of all the server, hosting maintenance and upgrades for you. This saves me SO much time and effort, which has allowed me to focus on what truly matters for the business; creating and marketing my products.
While on WooCommerce, I had to do all the maintenance by myself, making sure the theme and plugins are all up to date, while doing hours and hours of tweaking, setting up CDN and making sure my theme is mobile optimized and runs fast on mobile devices – but to no avail.
Requires No Technical Experience
Although I’m quite a technical person, I enjoyed the ease of use with Shopify. It is a breath of fresh air!
It is also beginner-friendly and requires no technical knowledge to get started with Shopify. Shopify is absolutely wonderful for beginners.
If you’re on WooCommerce, you would know how technical it can get to design and set up your store. Not to mention, to list a product listing on WooCommerce. It gets even more technical to get variants set up (like the number of colors or styles for each product) or to attach your digital product to your listing. So when I first created my first listing on Shopify, I was pleasantly surprised at how fast and simple it is to set up a product listing, setting up variants for it and to attach your digital product to your product listing.
No Additional Transaction Fees
There’s no additional transaction fees if you go with Shopify’s own payment gateway. This means you don’t have to set up a separate payment gateway to accept payments from your customers. However if you choose to set up other payment gateways other than Shopify’s, there will be a transaction fee for each sale made through their platforms.
While WooCommerce also offers a range of payment gateway options, WooCommerce don’t have their own payment gateway. So you may need to set up and manage these payment gateways separately. On top of that, there will be additional transaction fees for every sale made through their platforms, which can add up to a significant cost overtime.
Reliable and Secure
While WordPress sites are known for their powerful SEO, they are also generally prone to hackers, viruses, ransomeware and other security threats.
Shopify on the other hand is secure and reliable. They have built-in SSL certs and deals with sensitive customer information including credit card details securely and reliably. So you can trust the platform to keep your online store safe and accessible at all times.
Great Customer Support
This is what I love most about Shopify. First of all, Shopify offers 24/7 support through multiple channels, including live chat, email, and phone. So no matter what time of day or night you need help, there’s always someone available to assist you.
And if you need more personalized support, Shopify offers a range of premium support options, including dedicated account managers and 24/7 priority support.
But perhaps the best thing about Shopify’s customer support is that they genuinely care about their customers. They don’t just see you as a number or a source of revenue. They understand that your success is their success, and they’re committed to doing everything they can to help you grow and thrive.
So if you’re looking for an e-commerce platform with great customer support, look no further than Shopify. Their team of experts is always available to help you, and they truly care about your success.
Better Conversion and More Sales
My stores on Shopify convert better than on WooCommerce. I can truly say that I have made more sales of my digital and physical products in Shopify than in WooCommerce. Two reasons. Shopify stores are FAST and mobile-optimized. When I first moved my physical product store over to Shopify, I saw an increase of 87% in revenue from the previous month. And the next month, a 20% increase from the month before.
You see, my monthly revenue is usually about the same every month. And after moving over to Shopify, the sudden increase in revenue was really quite shocking to me. So when I looked into my analytics, to my surprise, most of the sales came from mobile devices. And I knew my store was much slower on mobile with WooCommerce. So when I put two and two together, I realized that I’ve been losing lots and LOTS of sales on WooCommerce because of the speed of my store on mobile devices.
I did regret not moving over to Shopify earlier.
Awesome Scalability
I had an influx of traffic last July which allowed me to earn over $21,800 in one month. I don’t think I would’ve succeeded if I was on WooCommerce because of my slow site speed on desktop and mobile devices. Plus, my store would’ve already crashed because it can only handle a low level of traffic (my WooCommerce store was on the lowest basic hosting plan). Imagine losing all those extra sales!
If you’re running an online store, scalability is a crucial factor to consider. You want to make sure that your e-commerce platform can handle your business’s growth and increasing traffic without any issues. And that’s where Shopify shines.
One of the great things about Shopify is that it’s designed to be scalable from the ground up. Whether you’re just starting out with a few products or running a massive online store with thousands of items, Shopify can handle it all.
Fortunately, Shopify is built with scalability in mind. Their servers are designed to handle massive amounts of traffic, and they offer a content delivery network (CDN) to ensure that your online store loads quickly no matter where your customers are located.

Some Encouragement
I just want to encourage you today that if you’re feeling that you’re not good enough, not strong enough, not clever or successful enough… you’re not alone.
I felt like that for many, many years and still do sometimes.
It is even harder when you’re a mom – when you have to juggle with SO much around you while running a business (TWO businesses in my case). It is not just bells and whistles. It is a LOT of HARD work.
But success doesn’t come overnight. It took a lot of patience, perseverance and not giving up. And believe you me, I feel like throwing in the towel SO many times. Before I knew it, I’ve been in business for almost a decade. I keep asking myself:
- Why do I keep treading along?
- Why am I still doing what I’m doing even though traffic is low and sales are slow?
- Am I stubborn? Or am I too proud to give up?
Then I realized that my perseverance and determination are bigger than all of these questions inside my head. It is something much bigger than me and all the external factors that are pointing to all my failures.
A Big Why and a Passion
And that reason is my children.
You have to HAVE a bigger WHY and a passion for what you do.
My children are the reason why I wake up every morning and do what I do. Come sunshine or rain, you bet I’m up and running, get my morning coffee and start working at my desk.
My WHY
I want to spend more quality time with my children. I want to give a better life to my kids, buy a new home and upgrade the quality of our lives. The freedom and means to travel more often and ultimately, I want to have more time to serve God and His people.
My PASSION
And why am I not giving up even though progress is slower than I want?
Because I’m absolutely passionate in my work and how I can help my clients every day and create beautiful designs and teach others to do the same. It’s a real joy for me and I absolutely get so much fun out of it.
Do something that matters. Do something that allows you to be yourself, to serve the people around you with your God-given talents. Now I truly believe, that’s why God has given you those talents – to do His will in your life, to serve others and help those around you.
Does It Really Matter?
So does it really matter when that success comes?
No, it doesn’t.
Success is a journey not a destination (cheesy but true).
I can look back almost a decade ago and see how much I have progressed as a business woman and as a person. And you can bet how glad I am to have started that many years ago, because I’ve changed so much and learned and experienced SO much.
So it doesn’t matter when you succeed, but what you do now, tomorrow, or the year after determines that outcome in the future.
And so when you look back a year from now – you’ll be so glad that you have started today.
Let’s talk about timing.
Timing is EVERYTHING.
I worked hard on my websites. Tried a few e-commerce stores and finally moved to Shopify after many trials and errors. I worked hard on my Shopify stores. I tweaked and optimized them for conversion. I did all the hard work in the beginning.
And when the time came – my store is all ready to receive traffic.
And when it did – I made 240 sales and over $21,800 within one month!
I am only sharing this to show you the possibility of having a Shopify store (not because I want to blow my own trumpet). I was speechless beyond belief when sale after sale came pouring into my Shopify store. It was incredible. You can also watch my video below:
