My name is Janice and I am so happy to have you here!
I’ve created this space not only for my creative content but so I can have a place to share my heart, my life as a mom and business owner, my faith that I am so passionate about, and the tools I’m using to build my creative business!
Not so long ago I found myself working my guts out on my physical product business, going to multiple trade shows to market my products to the masses, I was busy packing and shipping orders, doing stocktake, maintaining my e-commerce store while only sleeping 3-4 hours per night. There were many times that I went to bed at 3am only to find out that my baby’s woken up wanting a feed and a diaper change.
I was physically and mentally exhausted, worn out to the brink of burn out.
By then, I already had 3 children (all under 5) and I realized that my family commitments were growing and my family needed me more than ever.
I realized that I could not go on any longer and decided to give it a break (I was still running it but not actively hustling or marketing the products) and just left the business on the sideline, but only to fulfill my orders.
I discovered the printables niche while I was in a woman’s support group for some inspiration and personal development. It was SO great to discover like-minded women who are also building their online business from home.
Someone in that group was making $30k /year selling printables and I was SO inspired by that!!
That was where I re-ignited my passion for designing and plunge into it without a second thought.
I’ve long forgotten that graphic design was my FIRST love and then, as the years gone by, I got distracted by the many shiny objects around me and have neglected my passion for awhile.
All my life I’ve been a creative person by nature and even got a graphic design degree for goodness sake!
How could I’ve been so blind to think that something other than my original passion would make me happy and fulfilled?
At this time, my home and life was a living mess!
I mean, I’ve always been muddle-headed.
I’m serious. Not joking.
But after having children, I became worse. I was all over the place, winging it as I go with the kids, doing multiple things at the same time but have never really completed any projects or finishing the tasks I’ve set out to do. It really sucked to be me at this point.
But since I was designing printables, I thought I might as well use them for myself and see how I go.
The first life planner that I created was the Make 2017 Your Best Year Yet. I’ve changed the name since.
Do not underestimate printables
Oh wow. I was SO amazed at my own transformation.
Who would’ve thought that a piece of paper would actually turn my life around.
I got more focused. I completed one project after the other. I built good habits along the way.
I finally got round to folding and putting my washing away.
The house got tidier and more organized as I decluttered my home.
I found purpose in my life and I became a happier person because I found back my passion.
Most importantly, I found peace.
Peace of mind and a deep conviction in my heart that this is where God wants me to be.
Not only to help others lead a more happy and organized life through my printables, but also to teach others to design better, to create beautiful digital products, how to promote them, so they too can start building an income from home.
More importantly, I wanna give credit where credit is due.
All this is possible because I have Christ in my life.
I seriously could not have done it without Him.
He’s always nudging me, prompting me, guiding me every step of the way.
I owe it to Him everything that’s good, beautiful and true in my life.
My husband. My kids. My businesses. Great friends. A loving family. Being catholic. EVERYTHING.
Yes, even the not so good times because that’s where He’s teaching me, refining me, humbling me to rely on His strength and not my own. My life belongs to Him and Him alone. This is His business too. Not mine.
And this is why I’ve started this blog and youtube channel.
This is my mission.
I wanna inspire you to build your own creative business too and start making money from home. Or if you’re a mom, to stay home with your kids while supporting your family doing what you love, and to FULLY depend on Christ, because it is only through Him that all things are truly possible. (Phillipians 4:13)
I’m doing all of these right now and I feel so blessed that I get to be with my kids and not missed their precious milestones, while making money from home, creating digital products that people love and want to use, teaching others about graphic design and helping my clients with their projects.
Although I’ve seen some successes in my life, I still have a LOOoongg way to go to achieve my goals and I would LOVE to take you on this journey with me.
I wanna celebrate with you as I reach each milestone in my business, to inspire you along the way, that if I – a mom of 4 kids, working on two businesses while running a household can do it, so can you!!
