Benefits of Making Your Own Cards at Home

Personal Touch

When you make your own greeting card, you have the chance to add a personal touch that can’t be found in store-bought cards. You can choose your own colors, designs, and add personal messages or inside jokes that makes that person feel special.

Cheap and Cost-Effective

Cost of purchasing greeting cards can add up quickly, especially if you’re someone who sends a lot of them throughout the year. Making your own cards can definitely be a cost-effective alternative, and it can be especially helpful if you’re on a tight budget.

Express Your Creativity

Making your own greeting card can be a great way to express your creativity. You can experiment with different materials, colors, and designs, and let your imagination run wild. Plus, the process of making a card can be a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Eco-Friendly

By making your own cards, you can reduce waste and it’s eco-friendlier. Store-bought cards often come wrapped in plastic or other packaging materials that end up in the trash. Creating your own cards allows you to use recycled materials or make cards that can be reused or repurposed.

Uniquely You

When you make your own greeting card, you can be sure that no one else will have the same one. This can make your card stand out and make that person feel even more special.

Customize Your Card & Make It Your Own

If you want to customize this design further, here’s a free template for you to do so. This is only for personal use.

However, if you want to use this design for commercial use, please make sure to swap out the clip arts, change the colors or fonts; in other words, make it an entirely new design before selling your card design or use it for any commercial value. This is also part of Canva terms.

It is never OK to sell Canva Content on a standalone basis (e.g. put one of our template designs on a t-shirt and sell it as-is). Your designs should always be your own creations.

Canva Commercial Use Terms
You’re not allowed to amend or sell this original template for commercial use in any way or form. Thank you for respecting these terms in advance.
